Covid19/Corona Virus - THE NEW NORMAL
Firstly I am delighted to be up to date with all three doses of the vaccine, and as an extra layer of protection I will still continue to wear a mask while working, however I will no longer require you to do so, unless of course you would rather.
We are following both the UK government guidelines and those set by industry experts from the British Beauty Council, to ensure we are offering the absolute highest standards of hygiene and safety for all of our wonderful clients and obviously my family and I.
Many of these protocols were already part of our standard practice, but we want to make sure we go above and beyond to give you all the confidence to return.
So what does the NEW NORMAL look like?
I have carried out an extensive risk assessment and set out infection control protocols to ensure I comply with both Government and Industry standards.
Please read these important instructions on how we can proceed in a safe manner, for as long as these steps are required:
On booking your first appointment back, you will be sent an email with a new consultation form that I need you to complete and return to me prior to your appointment (please let me know if you do not receive this or if you need assistance completing it). You will also receive a Medical Questionnaire 48 hours prior to each appointment on your current health state, that you must sign prior to this and each subsequent appointment. This will be held on file for 21 days and may be used to assist with track and trace should it be necessary. Everyone who has a tint treatment will require a new patch test 48hr before their first treatment though this may not be within two weeks of a covid vaccine or a positive covid19 diagnosis.
Please do reschedule your appointment if you have any cough, cold or flu like symptoms, a sore throat, any sickness or diarrhoea or any potentially contagious conditions to not only ensure your own comfort but to protect my other customers and my self from catching anything. Please remember I am self employed and if I am taken ill I am unable to work therefor I don't get paid!
Please try where possible to come alone to your appointments and remember I have a strict no children policy in place. The salon really isn't the best environment for little people as I do have lots of potentially hazardous substances around. Please arrive on time - not early so you avoid encroaching on other customers time and not late as this may mean I don't have enough time to perform your treatment and you risk losing your booking fee.
Please enter as usual down the side of the house closing the gate behind you, I don't want Olive ( my little dog) escaping. Please do knock and wait for me to open the conservatory door for you, please don't just come in as I may have another customer with me. I will then ask that you wash your hands thoroughly in the hand wash facility in the salon.
Please limit what you bring with you to your appointment. Your phone must be kept in your pocket for the duration of your service and must only be used in an absolute emergency.
I have a high-tech source collection dust extractor and a vapour and air purifying unit. I have enough sets of manicure tools to ensure a newly sterilized set is used for every client. I shall also have a gap between each client to allow me to completely clean down and disinfect the treatment room between each appointment. This means I will need you to leave immediately after your appointment to allow me enough time to do this.
I would rather not take cash at this time; but contactless card payments are still available, or you can pay by bank transfer either prior to your appointment or straight after - please ask for my new bank details in advance if this is how you would like to pay.
I sincerely hope to see you all very soon. This year has certainly been a challenge for me and my business, and I am so grateful for all your continued support.
Best regards, stay safe and well,
Helen xx
